According to a new Reuters report, authorities investigating the crash of Russian MetroJet Flight 9268—which plunged into the Sinai Peninsula last October, killing 224—suspect an EgyptAir mechanic of facilitating the planting the bomb that brought down the plane.

In the latest issue of the ISIS English-language propaganda magazine Dabiq, the rogue terrorist organization illustrates how it says it bombed Russian Metrojet Flight 9268, which killed 224 people over Egypt earlier this month. According to ISIS, the bomb was contained in a can of Schweppes pineapple soda.

Russian president Vladimir Putin has suspended all flights into Egypt amid reports that the flight recorder from Metrojet Flight 9268 contains data that “strongly favors” theories that a bomb brought down the passenger jet.

After Metrojet officials said Monday that the “only possible explanation” for the high-altitude break-up Saturday of a Russian jetliner over the Sinai Peninsula “could be an external impact on the airplane,” American and Russian officials attempted to dampen speculation about a possible terrorist attack, but didn’t deny the possibility, either.
