Aby Rosen and Michael Fuchs, the real estate tycoons behind RFR Holdings and the owners of Lever House and the Seagram building, had been planning to build a Shangri-La hotel on Lexington Avenue and 53rd Street. That was before all the economic messiness, of course, and last month the project was dealt a death blow when several banks foreclosed on the property. Now the already bad situation is getting worse.

Hotshot HBO exec Michael Fuchs held his famous (among all the right people) Oscar party at his East Village-ish penthouse last evening, and all sorts of high-profile people were invited. How do we know? Because he forgot to Bcc, of course! The strangely diverse guest list (Bette Midler! Various Tisches! Michael Wolff! Katarina Witt! Tim Zagat! Mort Zuckerman! Maer Roshan's new mag Radar isn't even on the stands yet, and it's already stirring up controversy. Radar reporter John Connolly was assigned an investigative piece on Doug Morris, the head of Universal Music Group. Ex-Sony Music chief Tommy Mottola has been trying to negotiate some sort of deal with UMG and wants the piece "to go away." The story isn't finished yet, but Morris is reportedly nervous because Radar is backed by ex-HBO exec Michael Fuchs, who once fired Morris when they were working at Warner Music Group. Morris returned the favor by getting Fuchs fired shortly thereafter. Next up: UMG artist 50 Cent writes rap song called "Fuchs you, bee-yatch!"

Ex-HBO honcho Michael Fuchs has agreed to back Maer Roshan's new mag, Radar, after American Media, which owns The Sun and the National Enquirer, backed out. We're guessing this means Radar will be "Spy meets Vanity Fair meets Harper's with a pinch of the Enquirer thrown in for good taste."
