Nimer Ead is a 55-year-old design engineer who resides in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He also happens to be Muslim. This past Saturday, a neighbor noticed a strange backpack in the yard outside the three-family building where Ead shares a first-floor apartment with his family and called the police. State bomb investigators responded, discovering a black-and-tan backpack that had no explosives or dangerous contents, but included the ambiguously ominous phrase, "USA Bomb."

Earlier this week, a 24-year-old Tampa-area resident named Cameron Mohammed was walking with his girlfriend into Walmart at around 3 a.m. when the two were approached from behind by a 25-year-old named Daniel Quinnell. Quinnell allegedly yelled racial epithets at the two, then fired 20 shots at Mohammed with a pellet gun — pictured above — striking him multiple times in the head and neck. Mohammed was armed, too — but with a real .45 caliber pistol. He chose not to shoot.

The Fars News Agency, Iran's leading, "semi-state-run" news agency, might want to spend a little less time bashing America, and little more time acquainting itself with the Great Satan's parody news organizations.

It's been a while since we heard from the "Obama's a secret Muslim" lunatic fringe, but they still pop up from time to time. Like at today's Louisiana rally for Newt Gingrich, at which a man named Bob Nolan offered this stunning assessment of the president.

On today's Fox & Friends, during a discussion of the View war that erupted yesterday between Bill O'Reilly, Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg, Brian Kilmeade apparently forgot that non-Muslim terrorists exist when he said, "All terrorists are Muslims." Watch inside.

Tonight, Jon Stewart continued his skull-violation of Fox News' coverage of the "Ground Zero Mosque" and Imam Rauf. Most notably, Stewart cut footage of Rauf's reasoned Larry King Live interview with that of Fox's ridiculous reaction to it. Video inside.

This morning, Fox News jacked up its anti-"Ground Zero Mosque" propaganda by broadcasting a "map" that identified remains of 9/11 victims and their proximity to the proposed building site—all with a decidedly biased, fear-mongering tone. Video inside.

Saturday marks the ninth anniversary of 9/11. And, for pastor Terry Jones down in Gainesville, Florida, it's also "International Burn a Koran Day." Tonight, Jon Stewart tore apart Jones' message, Republican lawmakers' hypocrisy, and—most importantly—Jones' mustache. Video inside.

Tonight, Laura Ingraham had another DERP/foot-in-mouth moment when she basically said that a) Muslims should assimilate to the American way, b) "elites"—and Muslim radicals—resist this, and c) if they continue resisting, they should expect "stricter rules." Video inside.

Tonight, Jon Stewart discussed Fox News and its reports about the funding sources of the "Ground Zero Mosque." Specifically, Saudi prince Al-Waleed bin Talal. But Fox never mentions his name... or that he's a part owner of its parent company.

Laura Ingraham, racial stereotype-enforcing hack, guest hosted The O'Reilly Factor tonight. While discussing President Obama's apparently still undecided religion, Ingraham made some astute, reasoned arguments for why people think he's Muslim. HA, JUST KIDDING—they were horrible. Video inside.

"If we let 'em build it, well can't you see, they'll turn 9/11 to a mockery," sings Trade Martin in this anti-Ground Zero Mosque song, cleverly titled, "We've Got To Stop The Mosque At Ground Zero." Yes, this is real.

President Barack Obama recorded a celebratory message to Muslims all over for the beginning of Ramadan, the month in which Muslims believe the Koran was revealed to the prophet Mohammad. There are people who will find this terrifyingly worrisome.

Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard is trying to sell his very popular cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad with a bomb as a turban, which helped to ignite all that hysteria among fundamentalist Muslims a couple years back. They're still trying to kill Westergaard, and he's getting pretty tired of it. Now he's trying to unload the infamous cartoon, so he can at least get some cash to buy a Playstation 3 to entertain himself while in hiding. Of course, no auction house wants to touch it and no collector wants to hang it up, so he's having a hard time [WSJ]. Somebody please just buy it—display it, burn it, use it as toilet paper, who cares—this controversy is one of the more exasperating and stupid of the 21st century. Raffle time!
