Nicholas De Genova

Gawker · 04/03/03 10:37AM

Columbia Professor of Anthropology and Latino/a Studies Nicholas De Genova is in hiding because he says he feels personally threatened after he publicly wished for "a million Mogadishus" during a teach-in last Wednesday. (Violent dissent is apparently okay if the targets are military personnel, journalists, photographers, aid workers, etc., but not if they're academics in Morningside Heights. Some of us are actually inclined to believe that neither is okay.)
