Teacher 'Slices Up' Student for Gruesome Science Class Experiment
Some science teachers are content with showing their class how to power lightbulbs with lemons. Other science teachers are a bit more hardcore.
Take this Russian chemistry instructor who intentionally carved up a pupil with a kitchen knife for the sake of a class demonstration.
Of course, the visuals are somewhat more graphic than reality. A knowledgeable Redditor explains:
The color comes from Thiocyanatoiron ions. Skin was rubbed with a cotton ball soaked with a solution of thiocyanate ions, and that knife was covered with a solution [form] of iron(III), which has yellowish color. When solutions have combined, these ions reacted together forming blood red [Fe(SCN)]2+.
And in case you were wondering, you're too late: Someone already made the "class cuts you" joke.
