"Oops," Say Think Tanks Following the American Nazi Party
This afternoon, the American Nazi Party had more than 4,000 followers on Twitter, and at least two of them were influential think tanks.
Until they were called out on Twitter earlier today, the Heritage Foundation and the Cato Institute were both followers of "America's premier 21st Century National Socialist Organization."
Staffers at the Heritage Foundation took a break from pushing anti-gay bills and discussing the intellectual weakness of Hispanics to publicly apologize, saying they "un-followed as soon as we saw."
The Cato Institute also unfollowed the Nazi account, writing: "This is why auto-follow bots are a BADDDDDD idea..."
