Three Dead, One Seriously Injured In Shooting at Belgian Jewish Museum
CNN is reporting that three people have been killed and one person has been seriously injured in a shooting that occurred near the Jewish Museum in Brussels, Belgium today.
A fire department spokesman, Pierry Meys, told CNN affiliate Bel RTL that the shooting occurred near the Jewish Museum in the center of Brussels. Belgian broadcaster RTBF has additionally reported that the shooting occurred inside the museum as well as outside.
According to the BBC:
The gunman arrived at the museum at around 15:50 (13:50 GMT) carrying a backpack, then opened fire before fleeing in a car, Belgian media reported.
Deputy Prime Minister Didier Reynders has tweeted that he is "shocked by the murders" and Brussels Mayor Yvan Mayeur told RTBF that it is "clearly extremely serious."
