Yesterday, Seth Rogen testified before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health, and Human Services to raise awareness about Alzheimer's Disease, from which his mother-in-law suffers. The testimony was, of course, hilarious but it was also surprisingly touching.

"I came here today for a few reasons. One, I'm a huge House of Cards fan. Just marathoned the whole thing. Had to be here. Two is to say people need more help," he said.

There were more jokes ("Yes, I'm aware this has nothing to do with the legalization of marijuana") but Rogen focused on highlighting the disease's devastating affects, both physically and emotionally.

Watching the disease, which is the 6th leading cause of death in the U.S., take hold of his mother-in-law spurred Rogen into action, which, as he notes, is unusual.

"That's right, he situation is so dire that it caused me, a lazy, self-involved, generally self-medicated manchild to start a entire charity organization," he said after mentioning Hilarity for Charity.

The whole thing is worth a watch.
