Wife Claims Stephen Collins Thought About Molesting Their Child
The fallout of yesterday's leaked audio recording of 7th Heaven star Stephen Collins allegedly admitting to having sexually abused multiple underage girls continues. The latest, TMZ reports, is an accusation by Collins' wife Faye Grant, who claims the actor expressed relief in 1989 that their soon-to-be-born daughter wasn't a boy, because he wouldn't be able to resist putting his penis in his mouth.
"The comment you made just before I gave birth to our daughter when you said you hoped we didn't have a little boy, because 'you just didn't know if you could keep his little penis out of your mouth' was indication enough that you were sick," Grant allegedly wrote in a email to Collins last year. "I should have followed my gut then, and then again 14 years ago, and kicked your ass to the curb."
Previously, a woman who stayed with Collins and Grant as a young girl in New York claims the actor would enter her bedroom after showering and wearing nothing but a towel. The woman alleges Collins would drop his towel and molest her.
Twenty-four hours after the audio tape's leak, Collins' lawyer in his divorce from Grant (the two have been embroiled in divorce proceedings since 2012, seemingly when she learned of his allegedly abusive past) has fired back, telling TMZ that the audio recording's release is Grant's way of shaking Collins down for more money.
"Over the course of my representation of Stephen in the divorce case, Faye has repeatedly threatened to give this audiotape to the media unless Stephen agreed to pay her millions of dollars more than that to which she was legally entitled," Mark Vincent Kaplan told TMZ.
Los Angeles police told the tabloid they are "revisiting" a 2012 molestation investigation against Collins, who is already accused of molesting and exposing himself to three other underage girls.
