Woman Arrested After Burning Dog Alive, Bragging About It on Facebook
A horrifying case of animal abuse was uncovered two weeks ago, when a dog was found badly burned in the backyard of a residence in the city's north side.

The St. Louis Animal Cruelty Task Force, founded by Mayor Francis Slay, was initially unsure who was responsible for the dog's injuries, but was later able to attribute the abuse to Adrienne Martin, 35, thanks to a series of incriminating messages she posted on Facebook.
"I'm on a killa mode #killdog.com today," Martin posted on July 9th, one day before the three-year-old shepherd-terrier mix was found tied up in the 4300 block of Cote Brilliante Avenue.
On July 10th, Martin wrote, "I mean what I say and I say what I mean #alldogsdontgoheaven.com."
Stray Rescue of St. Louis, which nicknamed the animal "Brownie," tried to do everything it could to save his life, but he ultimately succumbed to organ failure and died.
Two days later, on July 14th, Martin was back on Facebook writing about "this stupid dog," and tagging her status update "#laughingeveryday."
"It is just so inhumane I can`t even see straight," Stray Rescue founder Randy Grim told Fox 2 News.
Martin was arrested yesterday and charged with animal cruelty and knowingly burning — both felonies.
Martin told investigators the dog belonged to her sister-in-law, and that he had recently bit her son, sending him to the hospital.
She initially denied setting him on fire, but later confessed to the crime, according to a probable cause statement.
"Today some justice has been served," said Grim. "It`s not going to bring him back and I wish that he got to experience the love here at Stray Rescue, but at least finally someone was arrested."
