Wrong-Way Collisions Kill Eleven in LA and Florida (Graphic Video)
Police say a drunk 21-year-old woman driving over 100 miles per hour the wrong way down a freeway collided head-on into another vehicle early Sunday morning, killing six people. And an eerily similar collision killed five people driving on a Florida interstate around the same time.
Olivia Carolee Culbreath was speeding in a red Chevrolet Camaro on the 60 freeway around 4:40 am, with at least two passengers in her car. She collided head-on into a red Ford Explorer. Another car was also reportedly involved in the accident.
Police say there was evidence of alcohol in the Camaro.
Six people in all — a family of four and both of Culbreath's passengers, died from the crash. Four were pronounced dead at the scene and the other two died at UC Irvine Medical Center.
Culbreath, who suffered a broken femur and a ruptured bladder, was arrested for felony driving under the influence and felony manslaughter.
Meanwhile, in Florida, a similar early-morning head-on collision killed the wrong-way driver and four college students. The driver was going the wrong way down the center lane of Interstate 275 in Tampa and crashed into the college students, which ignited a fire.
Caution, this video is extremely graphic.
