A Landmark Almost Equal to the Stonewall Riots

Apparently the Romance Writers of America, the professional association of romance writers, has graciously accepted Scott Pomfret, a gay romance novelist, as a full-fledged member.
"It's nice to see that an organization like the RWA is open to recognizing that romance is not a 'hetero-only' institution and that gay men have romantic lives — and needs — as strong as any Harlequin heroine," Pomfret said in the statement he considerately emailed to us.
Yes, great work, Scott. Now that Harlequin writers say gay romance is OK, the homos finally have full equality!
Well, except from the government. But who needs that when you've got the RWA?
