This is the sort of news that makes us sad we skipped town early for the long weekend: Drinking Liberally's Mayoroke — in which candidates for mayor and other city offices will sing for your votes — is happening tonight.

Allegedly Gifford Miller will be performing; so will Norm Siegel, Scott Stringer, and several other candidates whose names we don't recognize. We're sad we won't be there ourselves — this is a cocktail of our favorite pastimes that could be improved only if the candidates are singing showtunes, or perhaps Seinfeld ditties ("Believe it or not, George isn't at home...") — so we hope someone will attend and let us know how it goes.

(Also, could someone find out if Singin' Giff, as depicted above, is actually a long-lost brother of Gawker mascot Drinkin' Andrew? The resemblance is uncanny. Thanks.)
