Social Rank — the delightfully inexplicable "organization" dedicated to ranking socialites according to personal style, press coverage, appearances, and hotness — has released its second official list. We're happy to see something so shallow and pointless continually thrive, just like the ladies it covers.

This week, the powers that be have made some major shifts, deducting an automatic three points for anyone who failed to appear at the Costume Insitute Gala. Just as before, Tinsley Moritmer's bobble head comes in at number one, Margherita Missoni ranks again in third place, and Rachel Roy holds steady in fifth place. Zani Gugelmann comes in fourth, ranking last week in 12th place. Bravo, bitches.

What's really caught our eye is the climb of Vogue spawn Bee Shaffer, who was last ranked 10th and now comes in at the number two spot, only 3/10 of a point behind Moritmer. Quite an impressive gain — which leads us to believe that the Social Rank "team" is really just the creation of Anna Wintour's assistants, eagerly working after-hours, desperate to keep their master pleasantly distracted
