- 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the occupation as a news editor, staff reporter, news reporter, features reporter, features writer or related job entailing responsibility for research, writing and editing of celebrity and associated high-profile special interest news coverage, including experience in information and research contact development, and in coverage of both one-time and ongoing celebrity, court case and personal interest stories.
A liberal arts degree and experience in celebrity news? Christ, that's vague enough to qualify 70% of the blogosphere. And for your expertise in starlet stalking, OK! is offering an annual salary of $132K. The catch? OK! Magazine is the home of celebrity news. Born in the UK 10 years ago, OK! is rapidly becoming the global gold standard in the weekly celebrity genre. OK! Magazine is looking for a News Director. This position will be based in our Los Angeles office.
Job Description:
Manage editorial functions involving celebrity and associated high-profile special interest news coverage for an international magazine publication company, including responsibility for supervising the research, writing and editing of both one-time and ongoing celebrity, court case and personal interest stories; and for management of information and research contact development, and other news and editorial department functions.
