If you paid $500 million for something, you'd fix it up, right? So why, when News Corp has owned MySpace for the better half of a year, is MySpace puking in the metaphorical toilet like Tom Anderson after a MySpace Miami party?

It's been over a week since MySpace blacked out (ha, ha, no, literally blacked out), and the trailer-trash social site is still going down every day, keeping millions of users from "thanking each other for the add" and filling out the chain-letter personal surveys that will kill their job prospects for the next ten years. What gives? Does the Rupert Murdoch empire not have the resources to keep a web site running?
