We're not sure what upset us the most about this morning's MisShapes fashion show, but if we had to guess we'd say it was the comparison to Factory icon Edie Sedgwick:

She has jet-black hair, a friendly aloofness and, exactly at the age (22) that Edie Sedgwick appeared in Life under the headline "The Girl With the Black Tights," a similar sense of her times.

Unless this was an incredibly subtle attempt by Cathy Horyn to reference Warhol's dictum about everyone being famous for fifteen minutes, it's an incredibly sad commentary on the perceived influences of the current New York scene, at least as viewed by the Times. Also, you know... no.
