The Misshapes, those 3 omnipresent party-hosting, death-staring hipsters, didn't just spoil black eyeliner, leotards, dance parties, Eastpak and rosé for the rest of the us — they also destroyed classic Brit pop. Specifically, the Misshapes take their name from the Pulp song "Mis-Shapes," a tragedy on which Idolator elaborates:

...whenever we hear [the song], instead of thinking about Jarvis Cocker strutting around the stage of the Reading Festival, we think of a bunch of sweaty lil' brats throwing up on each other. In America, the popularity of MisShapes (the obnoxious party-slash-DJ collective) has forever ruined "Mis-Shapes" (the song).

The solution? It's a long shot, but Idolator is campaigning to bring Pulp's "Mis-Shapes" to every corner every corner of the world, so that the song itself might surpass the Misshapes in ubiquity. We applaud the effort — really, this method is the closest you'll ever get to actually erasing the 'Shapes from your mind.
