A job opening, that is! What were you thinking, perv? Anyway, judging from the emails our favorite free-newspaper sex columnist has been sending to her mailing list lately, she's been getting increasingly desperate for your hot, throbbing content ( "Everything is appreciated as I have absolutely no original ideas of any sort right now.") So we weren't surprised to see this advertisement in ED2010, an email newsletter for people who think an email newsletter is going to help them become editors by 2010. (Digression: it's been called that since we were in college — are they going to change the name as the goal gets increasingly unrealistic, or is it going to be like 'In the Year 2000' on Conan? Seriously, how retarded).

Well, in case you're the kind of go-getter who want to be Mistress Julia's not-sex slave, the job listing is after the jump. Ok to mention Gawker!

AM New York dating columnist Julia Allison is looking for an
intern to help her with research and misc. projects. You would be
conducting pre-interviews (and sometimes interviews), requesting
review copies of books, responding to reader emails, coordinating with
publicists, reading dating books, brainstorming topics, getting
feedback on columns, transcribing interviews, organizing columns
online, etc. Julia also writes for Cosmopolitan and has a dating
column in COED magazine (a collegiate version of Maxim) and is working
on a book project - you would be involved in all of those. She is
looking for someone who is genuinely interested in dating/lifestyle
journalism and will be fun & enthusiastic. No prior experience
necessary, but it's nice. No pay, but you'll get great experience, a
wonderful recommendation, contacts and knowledge. It's also very
flexible - only for a few hours (5 or so) each week, mostly virtual.
Perfect for NYU or Columbia student. Or whomever! Check out Julia's
website at www.juliaallison.com. Please send resume and explain why
you'd be the best person for the job - julia@juliaallison.com. Would
like someone to start ASAP, with flexibility around the holidays. (OK
to mention Ed)
