We get a lot of schmucky help-wanted ads over the transom. No one wants to actually pay anyone for their work these days, it seems! Funny, that. Anyway, this Craigslist ad, which wants candidates who can edit film, run errands, and code HTML and would like folks to work in exchange for some new form of pay called "lunch" seemed to rank up there with the best of them—but who could the employer be?

Well established Director-Writer-Producer needs an assistant (prefer students, new graduates in film or new media) for his comfortable home-office. Duties will include helping out with a documentary, a video art piece and film shoots. Running business errands is also required. Hard-working, long hours, and ability to network at the NYC nightclubs, art galleries & museums, film festivals, film markets, concerts, & various openings a huge plus. So, if you are it, send in your resume with a cover letter. MINIMUM of 3 days a week preferred.

Requirements - Excellent knowledge of Avid, FCP, Adobe Graphics programs, 3D etc. Huge amount of internet research. Excellent knowledge of English language — verbal and written. HELPFUL IF - Knowledge of internet includes writing HTML, Flash, streaming videos, launch blogs, and create websites. Good to excellent knowledge of Art and Film world also a plus. If you know how to handle digital cameras and load film into cameras, you just got yourself a nice gig!

Reimbursement - Lunch and transportation + credits. No other pay. Money-whiners and over-qualified individuals need not apply. This is primarily a learning experience. The atmosphere is extremely informal in this home-office, so be lax with your attitude. May require European trips. If that happens, and you're asked to come, it will be at your own expense. EMPHASIS - LEARNING EXPERIENCE.

If you have a chip on your shoulder, chuck it or do not apply!

PS: If asked for an interview, do not show up in a formal outfit.
