A tipster alerts us to an incident involving Andrew Bird (whose great new record, Armchair Apocrypha, is a frequent presence on the office soundsystem) during a secret show last night at Brooklyn's Union Hall:

Last night [H]ipsters pressed Bird to explain how CNN anchor Lou Dobb's made it into one of his new songs, "Fiery Crash."

"He was part of my daily life and he just ended up in a song," Bird said. "I can't help it."

Some in the audience seemed unimpressed by the explanation. Shouts of "television kills" and a reference to Dobbs' so-called "war on the middle class" met Bird in response.

Awww, Brooklyn hipsters. Don't you just love them? We can almost smell the mixture of stale beer and self-righteousness.
