  • Morgan Stanley's new president of global wealth management, Ellyn McColgan, closed on a three-bedroom, eighth-floor apartment at 91 Central Park West for $7.25 million. She won't have much trouble settling in: In a recent interview, McColgan mentioned that she paid $25,000 out of her own pocket to hire a "moving manager" to place every last item of clothing in her drawers.
  • Investment analyst Thomas Wei, named one of the best stock pickers of 2006 by Forbes, has closed on an Upper West Side townhouse for $7.95 million. The four-bedroom home at 12 West 83rd Street features a small garden in the front and fireplaces throughout.
  • Handbag designer Charmaine Ho bought a West Village townhouse for $8.1 million. Her Hong Kong-based parents paid for the three-floor townhouse. When she's not designing handbags, Ho is a student at Parsons. But the Hos will undoubtedly be happy to hear she plans on getting a roommate and renting out the bottom two floors of the house. [NYO]
