If you're looking for a cheap but stylish place to put up your relatives this holiday season, you now have a new option to add to the list of possibilities: the Guggenheim. The "theanyspacewhatever" exhibit, which opens today, features a "Revolving Hotel Room," an art installation that doubles as an actual hotel room. The space sleeps two and rates for the room start at just $259 a night, making it as affordable as the Holiday Inn in Midtown.

So what's the catch? The furnishings are pretty sparse—it's modern art, after all—and reservations are close to impossible to come by. Weekends are already sold out through the end of the exhibit on January 7th (Chloe Sevigny has booked the room for tomorrow night), so if you don't know someone on the inside, you'll probably be left out in the cold. Oh, and the entire room itself is mounted atop four rotating glass discs, so if your brother-in-law has motion sickness issues, it's probably a safe bet he'll be happier staying somewhere else.
