Remember David Brooks, the Long Island defense contractor who spent $10 million on his daughter's bat mitzvah in 2005—the Rainbow Room blowout featured performances by Aerosmith, 50 Cent, Ciara, and Tom Petty among others—and was later accused of using company money to pay for it?

Brooks went on trial yesterday and faces a possible life sentence if he's convicted on fraud and insider trading charges. (He's also accused of lying to investors in an effort to boost the company's stock price.)

And it turns out he did more than just waste corporaye funds on insane parties (and the $100,000 "diamond-encrusted belt buckle" that he bought especially for the occasion). Prosecutors also say Brooks used company money to pay for hookers and racehorses, too.
