Saturday Night Live is currently in its 35th season. While there are tons of people that will say "It hasn't been funny since X was on," it still has some of the greatest Christmas sketches ever.

Last week, SNL subjected the American Public to A Very Gilly Christmas and while there played a lot of good sketches, they were sandwiched between too many pieces of stale Gilly bread. So, for your viewing pleasure, here is the exclusive Gawker.tv No Gilly Guide to Saturday Night Live Christmas Sketches.

Which Christmas sketches are your favorites? Add 'em in the comments and we'll update our list. No matter what you celebrate, Merry Christmas from all of us at Gawker.tv.

Adam Sandler Singin' About Santa
Adam Sandler was many things: an opera man, a Gap employee, a Hanukkah enthusiast, but, at his most basic he was an entertainer and he delivers here a wonderful Christmas song about Santa as only he could.

I Wish It Was Christmas Today
Let's keep the music train a-rolling: this memorable bit was recently updated to include Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas, but it'll always have a special place in our hearts as a showcase for Tracy Morgan to be hilarious while doing next to nothing and for Chris Kattan to humorously hold onto a keyboard.

Christmas Eve at the White House
Chevy Chase shows the science behind pratfalls that made him a star in his famous lampooning of national figure, President Gerald Ford in the very first Christmas sketch in Saturday Night Live history.

Santy-Wraps
SNL has a long history of irreverent commercial parodies, and what better way to ring in Christmas than with a Dan Akyroyd pitch for a hygienic product that will protect you from whatever communicable illness your Santa may have. And who can forget John Belushi's wonderful performance as a stereotypical drunken Mall Santa?

Robert DeNiro Gives Mall Santas the Gravitas They Deserve
Before Away We Go, I would never have believed you if you said Maya Rudolph could out act the King of Comedy himself, Bobby DeNiro but here we are. What a absurdly dramatic scene.

Adopt John Belushi
Frankly, I think SNL should bring this practice back since we can't have Belushi back. You wouldn't buy a raffle ticket to have Bill Hader or Keenan Thompson hang out with you during Christmas?

Consumer Probe
Brooklyn's Bergen Street is named after Candace Bergen [Ed. No] and it is easy to see why: she was awesome on SNL. Here's the famous sketch that introduced America to everyone's favorite children's toy/costume merchant, Irwin Mainway. Seeing a teddy bear with a hidden knife has never been funnier.

The Killer Trees
Killer Christmas Trees set off by "O Tannenbaum?" Frank Zappa in a police lineup? Akyroyd and Belushi as the cops on the case? Repetition of the phrase "pierced thorax?" This sketch has got it covered.

Honker Works The Christmas Lot
At one point, Elliot Gould was the biggest star in the world, however, in this skit, he is upstaged by Bill Murray doing one of the earliest versions of the Carl Spackler character that would make him a star in Caddyshack.

Scotch and Spirits
In this sketch, Gould plays a down on his luck man who is visited by the Ghosts of Booze Past and learns the true meaning of Christmas.

Rovco All-Flammable Christmas Tree
Again, we present you with Dan Akyrody pitching for an awful product that is really just an excuse to light Christmas trees aflame. It really is better than a yule log! Stay until the end to watch as stagehands struggle to put out the flames.

Season's Greetings from Tarzan, Tonto and Frankenstein
What better way to enjoy the classic carol "Away in a Manger" than by hearing it sung by legends of Hollywood?

It's a Wonderful Life: Extended Ending
Featuring one of the best Jimmy Stewart impressions by Dana Carvey and a host of man on dummy violence, this sketch is an absolute gem.

A Holiday Wish
Are you excited to see It's Complicated? Even if you aren't, enjoy this clip of Steve Martin telling us what he wishes for this Christmas.

Bear City Christmas Carols
This heart warming clip shows us all the true meaning of the holidays: bear suits are always funny.

'Twas The Night Before Christmas
John Malkovich provides delightful commentary to impressionable children as he reads 'Twas The Night Before Christmas. "The state of California has a home invasion law where it's actually legal to shoot someone just for entering your residence and I'm telling you, perfectly legal. Did you know that?" should be on coffee mugs and t-shirts the world over.

Calculator
In this season 34 sketch, Malkovich returns here as one half of a twin team with Fred Armisen who are very, very excited about getting a calculator from Texas Instruments.

The Gay Couple from New Jersey
Armisen and Hader play a gay couple that just happen to love wearing track suits and alluding to their involvement in organized crime.

Glengarry Glen Christmas
All these years later, Glengarry Glen Ross is still great fodder for jokes. What better way to parody than with Alec Baldwin replaying his role as the toughest elf around? "Nice guy, I don't care. Good father, elf you, go home and play with your kids."

Delicious Dish
I think I can safely say that this sistine example of double entendres is and always will be funny. Come for the Schweddy Balls, stay for the initial banter between the two hosts.

The Mark Jensen Family Christmas
Will Ferrell has become a little too ubiquitous in the last few years, but sketches like this gem from his 2nd Best Of special let us fall in love with him all over again.

Matt Foley, Motivational Santa Claus
Chris Farley reprises his van living in a motivational character to blow the lid off this whole Santa Claus thing and cause as much property damage as possible.

The Night Hanukkah Harry Saved Christmas
From putting the milk in the fridge before it turns, to giving the children practical gifts, Hanukkah Harry doesn't really understand Christmas, but he'll help all the Gentile girls and boys understand the true meaning of the holidays.

Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood Christmas Special
Mr. Robinson loves Christmas, whether he is taking presents from all the boys and girls or making counterfeit Cabbage Patch Kids. Enjoy this sketch from a simpler time, when Ronald Reagan was in charge and Norbit was just a glimmer in Eddie Murphy's eye.

Martha Stewart's Home For the Holidays: Topless Christmas Special
Finally, a personal favorite, see how all you need to make a Martha Stewart episode is unexplained nudity and a mispronunciation of Hanukkah.
