Today in dubious "quotes": the New York Daily News quotes a "friend" of Alex Paterson, the New York governor's son who was recently detained by the police for playing a dice game and possessing a missing debit card:

But one of Alex's friends said the teen is angry at both cops and the media for making "such a big deal out of a dice game."

"He feels he was in the wrong place at the wrong time," said the pal, who gave his name as Daniel and said he was with Alex when he found the card.

Right. This is obviously just a high school buddy of a 15-year-old kid using the "he feels" formulation of a seasoned political flack. Sure.
