Harold Ford is lecturing (for money) in Missouri tonight. Tomorrow he's debating Republican embarrassment machine Michael Steele in Little Rock. (Also for money.) We hope his lecture is about why he is what is wrong with the entire Democratic party!

Peter Feld made the basic point earlier today: at the moment, the primary battle for New York's Democratic party nomination for US Senate is between two conservatives, neither of whom are from the city, and both of whom are fighting for support and money from the exact same incredibly wealthy donors. Which makes both of them objectively (and in Ford's case proudly and openly) pro-Wall Street. Why do Republicans even bother running against Democrats, anymore? (Well, it's not like a real one is running against these two.)
