Papers: Paterson Won't Seek Reelection

Sources close to Governor David Paterson say he will not seek reelection, according to the New York Post and the Daily News. He will give a press conference between 11:30 and 12:30, but he will not resign.
Back when the New York Times stories that suggested an abuse of power were just delightful rumors of stories of drug-fueled orgies, Paterson gave a press conference that was ostensibly about the state's response to that day's massive snowfall. He eventually said the only way he was leaving office without losing an election was "in a box."
According to sources we just made up, the accidental governor made this tough choice once he realized that he'd finally lost the support of Gawker.
