Companies are supposed to mail out tax forms to freelancers by the end of January. But we hear that Conde Nast had some trouble with that.

A tipster tells us that he just received his Form 1099 for Conde Nast freelance work, postmarked the last week of February. Which was especially bad for him, since he had already filed his taxes. We're not tax attorneys (surprisingly), but sending out 1099s three to four weeks late seems problematic.

A lone incident, or a widespread problem? If you're a Conde freelancer, email us and let us know if you got your forms on time. We've also emailed Conde, and we'll let you know if we learn more. Save the freelancers' tax compliance!
