You know how when you fly, you have to remove your laptop from your bag before you put it through the X-ray machine, to prevent bombings and such? Well, the iPad will be exempt from that little precaution.

According to the Associated Press, the Transportation Security Administration has unilaterally decreed that, since the iPad is a revolutionary new category of life-changing machine that will usher in a new era of peace and higher consciousness, it will not be treated as some filthy common laptop by TSA officials. So you won't have to take it out of your bag or anything, gentle iPad user. Peace be upon you and safe travels.

Anyway, if anyone out there is looking for a complex electronic device in which explosive elements can be disguised and which won't be subjected to increased scrutiny at airport checkpoints, Apple has an exciting new product for you. There's an app for that!
