Gerald Posner—the former Daily Beast writer who's recently been found to have plagiarized one bazillion times—is also an attorney. Mahmood Karzai is the crooked brother of Afghanistan's president. Together, they're a legal PR combo that cannot lose!(?)

Posner wrote a letter to the editor of the WSJ today defending "my client Mahmood Karzai." Mr. Karzai is "willing to take a lie-detector test" to prove he's not a crook. Just don't ask his lawyer to do that! Amirite? Anyhow, not even noon yet, and this day is already bizarre. Birds of a feather, etc.
