Extremely manic behavior was the name of the game during tonight's episode of Jersey Shore. The typical fights turned into a household Civil War before enemies became lovers and jumped into bed together. Who knew things could get this weird?

The episode began with the full extent of the major blowout fight that was previewed at the end of last week's episode:

Vinny desperately tried to reclaim his role as the voice of reason by selflessly asking Sammi why she would place all of her trust in someone as shady as Angelina. Sammi refused every piece of logical advice that was sent her way, and reaffirmed the fact that she's the least articulate person on the Eastern Seaboard (if she says "literally" one more time in place of an actual sentence or explanation, I'm going to lose it).

The divisions between the roommates grew, with the fractures that started between the girls beginning to directly affect to the men of the house. Angelina and Vinny became even more bitter sworn enemies than Sammi and JWoww, which quickly boiled over into a vitriolic shouting match.

Strangely enough, all of the fighting in the house seemed to invite a flood of fresh hookups because it seemed like everyone got some strange this week: Our boy Vinny was able to pull a one nighter with who was maybe the most beautiful girl to ever be on the show, much to Angelina's chagrin; Snooki was able to wrangle a guy who was more interested in cooking tacos than smooshing with her, but was ultimately successful in getting what she wanted; and Sammi and Ronnie actually settled down, for reals this time you guys, they swear, because they love each other!

And then, just when things seemed like they were settling down, the unthinkable happened and Vinny and Angelina had sex.

At the rate this show is going, Pauly D and Vinny are going to have to end up together for anything else to surprise me.
