AOL Hires Jonas Brothers To Fix the Internet
It's all very simple, as far as AOL's CEO is concerned: The Web is ugly because it was designed by Silicon Valley nerds, so let's hire creative geniuses like the Jonas Brothers to redesign it.
That, in a nutshell, is what AOL chief Tim Armstrong told Christopher Tennant: "Web pages haven't looked any different in 15 years! They look like they were created by people in Silicon Valley with engineering backgrounds who happen to be mostly male... That's why we're working with some of the most creative people on the planet-from Chuck Close to the Jonas Brothers. We want them to help us redesign the Internet." That will be an awesome internet (by which we mean, "MySpace meets Tumblr meets Snooki's Twitter").
