Andrew Cuomo Won't Take Carl Paladino's Concession Phone Call
According to the New York Times, Carl Paladino has tried twice without success to call Andrew Cuomo to concede the New York governor's race. For some reason, Cuomo hasn't taken the calls or returned Paladino's messages. Why would that be?
He's probably just scared since Paladino's concession speech included a threat to pummel Cuomo with a baseball bat if he fails to pursue the insane policies he advocated. Or maybe he's mad at Paladino for repeatedly claiming that Cuomo cheated on his wife and repeatedly refusing to back up those claims with evidence. As the Times points out, it's not like Cuomo's phone isn't working—he's spoken to Barack Obama since the election.
Anyway, it's sad to see Paladino's finely honed and expertly crafted campaign end on such an awkward and tentative note.
