The new Republican House majority will be sworn in tomorrow, the start of the 112th Congress. Have you bought a dress yet? You'll want to look good as you watch tomorrow's events on John Boehner's Facebook, from your cubicle.

The Washington Post has put together a basic schedule of tomorrow's events, which will include lots of swearing-in and praying and pledging and so on:

9 a.m. — Bipartisan prayer service, St. Peter's Catholic Church, Washington.

12 p.m. — House Clerk calls the House to order, followed by a prayer, the pledge of allegiance and a quorum call. Nominations for speaker are then made.

Approx. 12:40 p.m. — Members of Congress elect the new House speaker.

Approx. 1:40 p.m. — Outgoing Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) addresses the House and presents the new speaker, John Boehner (R-Ohio).

The dean of the House administers the oath of office to Speaker-elect Boehner.

Boehner swears in members of the 112th Congress.

2:30 p.m. — Members of the House will take up consideration of the new Rules package on the floor. Meanwhile, Boehner holds a ceremonial swearing-in ceremony with the members of the 112th Congress (Rayburn Room, H-207, U.S. Capitol).

So we should be at war with Iran by 5:00, depending on traffic.
