Texas Taken Over by Mescans
Texas—for a brief period the most All-American state except for New Hampshire—has, alas, succumbed to the inexorable demographic tidal wave that continues to swamp this nation in non-whiteness. Says the Washington Post:
The percentage of non-Hispanic whites in Texas declined to 45.3 percent, from 52.4 percent in 2000, while Hispanics rose to 37.6 percent from 32 percent, the data show...
"There is a lot of Hispanic growth throughout Texas, although a lot of the suburbs in Dallas continue to be very white," said William Frey, a demographer and senior fellow at the Brookings Institution in Washington.
Well, at least the Dallas suburbs are still very white! But you know what's not very white any more? Austin, where "minorities" (time for a new term!) now outnumber whites by 20,000.
