Spider-Man Replaces Veteran Choreographer with 20-Something Brooklynite
Producers of the problem-plagued musical Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark fired director Julie Taymor, and now it looks like her collaborator, choreographer Daniel Ezralow, is getting sacked, too.
His replacement will likely be Chase Brock, a young dancer with nary a Broadway credit to his name, but who does have some experience choreographing numbers for videogames. Yes, because that's just what this production with a history of injuring its actors with high-flying choreography needs to get out of the dumps—a young whipper-snapper to come in and show them how it's done. It sounds like something you would only read, well, in a comic book.
