Morgan Spurlock is at it again. This time he set out to create a documentary based purely on advertising and product placement in The Greatest Movie Ever Sold. A film where everything is branded, beginning to end- with ads.

The film follows Spurlock as he pitches his idea to the marketing teams and ad agencies associated with various products (POM Tea, Ban & Old Navy to name a few), in hopes of making a movie paid for by, featuring, and highlighting product placement on the silver screen. In short, the idea is the movie. So meta. Jimmy Kimmel even referred to it as "The Inception of Documentaries"

It debuts nationwide on April 22nd in limited release and is an official selection at both SXSW and Sundance film festivals. You can go even deeper here.
