Anyone hoping the harrowing saga of Florida 11-year-old Jessi Slaughter might have a happy ending will be sorely disappointed.

After a video of Jessi's father berating her haters to a webcam went viral last year, she was harassed by the online hordes of 4chan and forced into police protection. Now the Smoking Gun reports that Jessi's dad, Gene Leonhardt, has been arrested for child abuse.

According to a police report, Jessi was arguing with her father when he "punched her, causing her to have a bloody and swollen lip." When police officer arrived, he saw "blood on the victim's mouth and chin area." Leonhardt was "slightly intoxicated," too.

Jesus. Well, at least "You Dun Goofed" was a funny meme for a while there.
