White House photographer Pete Souza's great picture from the Situation Room during the raid on Osama bin Laden's "hideout" left us all wondering: "but what does it all mean?" Speaking to reporters in Rome today, Hillary Clinton answered questions about the photograph, saying she has "no idea" what was going on when the picture was taken.

"I am somewhat sheepishly concerned that it was my preventing one of my early spring allergic coughs," she said. "So, it may have no great meaning whatsoever."

Way to kill a buzz, Hills. That's not what the grave-dancing American public is trying to hear right now. You should have said: "At first I was thinking, 'Damn, is that really bin Laden?' Then I said, 'Like whoa, did you guys see that headshot?!' And then Bob Gates started DJ'ing and it's all a blur from there." We'd have appreciated that much, at least.
