Firefighters rushed to Courtney Love's $27,000-a-month West Village town house early Thursday morning, after an emergency call was placed to 911 saying a fire had broken out, the Times reports.

By the time they got there, however, the fire was already extinguished. Its cause remains under investigation, but officials have deemed it "not suspicious," having probably been started by a candle sitting too close to some flammable curtains. There were burn marks on those curtains and some nearby sheets, as well as on Love herself. (They were minor, however — "almost like a sunburn," according to one fire official.)
