It must have been a long weekend for Missouri Rep. Billy Long, as he stared at the wall for hours at a time trying to to link the death of Amy Winehouse with our current debt ceiling debacle in 140 characters or less.

Amy Winehouse... pop singer... Congress... bills... [fart]... this is going nowhere! Hmm but what about the drugs? Drugs and sadness and Congress... Congress is the drug?... no. [Belch.] How about... stuff... no, that doesn't work either. Think, Billo!

But at last, he discovered the connection this morning: Addiction! One is addicted to this one thing, and then the other is addicted to that thing. "No one could reach #AmyWinehouse before it was too late. Can anyone reach Washington before it's too late? Both addicted - same fate???" he tweeted. Heh, indeed.

This is just a notice in case anyone sees Rep. Billy Long today. You'll be expected to give him a high five.
