Did the Earthquake Tilt the Washington Monument?
According to Fox News, the Washington Monument may be tilting as a result of the 5.9 earthquake that just hit the area. Really?

Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly reported at 2:30 pm that their bureau received information from a producer saying that a Capitol Hill Police officer says that the Washington Monument may actually be tilting as a result of the earthquake.
Seismologist John Rundle joined Kelly on her show and confirmed that the Washington Monument could very well be tilting as a result of the earthquake and the structure should be checked out
OK, so we have third-hand information—and two of those hands are employed by Fox News—and some seismologist (Rundle!) who says it "could very well be tilting." Based on this evidence, we're going to say it's likely the Washington Monument is actually straighter than before the earthquake.
But someone prove us wrong! Do people still go to the Washington Monument? Can you, like, put a ruler up to it and see? While you're at it, someone check and see if the earthquake rumbled old Abe to life at the Lincoln Memorial and sent him on a vengeful path of destruction around the Metro area.
Update: A National Park Service spokesman told the AP there was "absolutely no damage" to the Washington monument. Uh uh. That's what Obama's crony would say. Where are the protractor measurements!
