Gay advocacy group GLAAD has released its annual survey of what network has the most gay characters on television and, buoyed significantly by Glee, Fox has taken the top spot. Good for them!

I mean, really this list is sort of silly. It includes Waylon Smithers and Patty Bouvier for pete's sake. Plus GLAAD repackages this same exact survey in the springtime, only they present it in percentages rather than just a straight-up tally. Still that tally is, in a vaguely depressing way — not just that there are so few but that so many of the characters are so dull — interesting to look at.
