Apple Store Looted During Steve Jobs Tribute
Where some see loss, others see opportunity. That would at least appear to be the case at the Apple store in Little Rock, Arkansas where two mourners who had come to pay tribute to Steve Jobs noticed something unusual: that the store was being robbed.
Robert Blake and girlfriend Amy Parker were laying flowers down at a memorial when they spotted "a man running away from the store." At first Blake assumed he was just a mourner in a hurry. But then the man jumped into a getaway car with another man, and drove off.
What at first seemed to be scattered flowers turned out to be broken glass, Parker said. She used her iPhone to call 911. Turns out, the thieves made off with "two dozen iPhones, plus iPads and laptops." No arrests have been made. [AP, photo outside Little Rock Apple store via Lance Turner/Flickr]
