There's always an article about some food or device or activity that will give you cancer. How can you avoid it? By just sitting around and home and hoping it won't happen. Guess again. Sitting still will give you cancer!

Evidence presented at the American Institute for Cancer Research conference in D.C. today says that about 90,000 cases of breast and colon cancer are caused each year by people who don't get enough physical activity, either because they sit at a desk all day or because they don't ever want to leave the couch because you never know when something good might come on HSN. In a study of 123,000 people, scientists found that people sitting still tend to die sooner and that those who engage in regular physical activity.

A walk for 30 minutes each day, can reduce the risk for cancer by 30%. Just don't do that walking while smoking, talking on your cell phone, or eating an apple that was sprayed with pesticides. That's all just counter productive. Oh face it, you're going to get cancer no matter what you do. In the future, we will all die of cancer, so just kick up your feet and cue up some The Good Wife on the DVR.
