NBC, the abandoned shopping mall of a television network, announced its mid-season schedule today, and while a bunch of shows got moved around, it seems like fan favorite Community got moved right off the schedule.

NBC's Thursday comedy block, which is still critically acclaimed and has a rabid fan base though isn't nearly as popular as it once was in the days of Friends, is getting all rejiggered. 30 Rock returns at 8pm, pushing rather amusing baby comedy Up All Night to 9:30. Parks and Recreation and The Office stay at 9pm and scourge of the new season Whitney gets bumped to Wednesday, where it will be followed by the sure to be awful It's Me, Chelsea. Yup, there's no Community anywhere to be seen. Get ready to get incensed.

That doesn't mean it's canceled. It's just MIA. Still, the writing is on the wall. Prime Suspect, which the network has been patient in promoting, is also absent. Brian Williams' newsmagazine show Solid as a Rock got shifted to Wednesdays as well, but is still lingering.

Joining the schedule are the talent competition The Voice, D-list trail of tears Celebrity Apprentice, and Who Do You Think You Are? a show that can't even answer its own question, at least in my mind.

New shows include Smash, a show about the making of a Broadway musical about Marilyn Monroe (originally titled, Gayer Than Glee); The Firm, because what TV needs is more shows about lawyers; and Fashion Star which is trying to be Project Runway about three years too late.
