Marc Jacobs Is Offering a Reward for His Stolen Collection
It turns out the Marc Jacobs theft wasn't as bad as we first thought. But good luck for any amateur Miss Marples out there: There's a reward if you can get info about the missing duds.
Apparently the 64 items that were stolen are worth about $65,000 (doesn't that seem a little low for designer duds?) and disappeared in the Mount Street area of London's tony Mayfair neighborhood as they were being shuttled from Paris to the London store. They're just duplicate samples, though, so it's not like the entire collection will be wiped off the face of the earth if these aren't found. Depending on how you feel about flapper inspired duds, this may or may not be a good thing.
If you find any said wannabe flappers or have any other info about the theft, you should drop Marc a line and get the reward they're talking about on Twitter. No dollar amount is listed. But if you don't get at least 20% of the new collection, then you're being ripped off.
