Last week, CW reality star and Maxim UK pin-up Devorah Rose tweeted a suggestive message about Salman Rushdie. Asked about his relationship with Devorah, Rushdie told Page Six that he was "mortified" to be connected to her. When Devorah heard that, she went nuclear and gave copies of her Facebook interactions with Rushdie to several gossip outlets.

"Never let someone paint you in a negative light," Devorah tweeted. "Not me not today." She provided Scallywag and Vagabond with a screenshot of their initial interaction, in which Rushdie festoons his request to meet "in real life" with smiley faces.

To Page Six, Devorah offered more dramatic material:

you look so gorgeous and hottt! see you v soon.

I'm sorry to say that I don't feel able to pursue what we only just began. I have to confess that I haven't really recovered from the recent collapse of a two-year relationship . . . I can't help seeing that our lives and worlds (and ages) are very different, and hard to reconcile. I think you're a dynamic, passionate, extraordinary person and I apologize for backing away so suddenly . . . I hope you can understand and excuse me, and that we can remain friends.

Apparently the duo cannot remain friends: When Salman realized Devorah had exposed him he sent her an ominous text message. Obviously, she immediately turned it over to Page Six:

If you continue to place material in the public domain, I will have to consider all my options.

Like his option to declare a love fatwa on Devorah Rose. Or copy all the embarrassing messages that Devorah sent to him, and forward them to me!

But seriously, what kind of erotic jujitsu is this man performing to attract so many drop-dead gorgeous women less than half his age? Between Devorah, Padma, Pia, and Min, he must have bionic pheromones or something. [P6, P6, S&V, images via Getty and Maxim]
