An adorable widdle home invader broke into Annette Swoffer's New Zealand domicile this weekend. It was a "really friendly" baby seal, and it came through the cat door. From Annette's shellshocked interview with the New Zealand Herald:

I thought 'I'm hallucinating, this is just wrong' I'm looking and I'm definitely seeing flippers and not paws. Then it looks at me with those huge brown eyes. It was so cute, but I didn't touch it because you don't with wild animals.

Apparently the seal had been "traipsing" around Annette's neighborhood all evening, which probably means it was mentally ill and confused, or had a brain tumor, or is the tragic victim of human industry encroaching on fragile ocean ecosystems, but shhh. Adorable widdle animal, doing adorable widdle thing! Animal control personnel recovered the baby seal without incident and released it back into the wild. No "baby seal walks into a club" puns reported.
